FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card(s), a list of all current medications (including over-the-counter and supplements), any prior imaging (X-rays, CT scans) on CD or digital format, and referral paperwork if required by your insurance. Arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake forms.

Do I need a referral to see a pulmonologist?

This depends on your insurance plan. Many PPO plans do not require a referral, while HMO plans typically do. Contact our office or check with your insurance carrier to confirm your specific requirements.

How long will my appointment take?

New patient appointments are typically 60–90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are usually 30–45 minutes. Procedure appointments vary — our staff will inform you of the expected duration when scheduling.

Do you offer telehealth visits?

Yes! We offer video telehealth visits for established patients for follow-up appointments, medication management, and non-urgent consultations. Visit the Patient Portal to schedule a telehealth appointment.

How do I request a prescription refill?

The easiest way is through the Patient Portal. You can also call our office at (281) 357-1300 and leave a message with our nursing staff. Please allow 48–72 business hours for refill requests.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. This allows us to offer the time slot to other patients. Repeated no-shows without notice may affect future scheduling.
